Buyers can select from either a 2218mm W x 4223mm L (external) tray, or a new 2218mm W x 3,173mm L (external) variant, giving them additional choice depending on the application – both trays are Australian-made and factory-fitted.

Common to both heavy-duty aluminium trays are internal load restraint points (24 and 20 points respectively), window protector and tube headboard, rope rails and front corner step. The 4223mm tray receives two-piece quick lock drop sides, with the 3173mm tray featuring single piece quick lock drop sides.

The shorter tray is fitted to a 3000mm wheelbase cab chassis, the longer variant to a 3750mm platform. Both feature a car licence-friendly 4,495kg GVM and 3.5t braked towing, providing additional capacity to tow a trailer with extra equipment or materials if required. 

Powering both Tradie-Made models is IVECO’s new 3.0 litre Euro 6 rated, direct injection engine with Variable Geometry Turbine producing 180hp (132kW) and 430Nm, which is coupled to the market-leading Hi-Matic 8-Speed full automatic transmission.

Thanks to its eight speeds, the Hi-Matic allows the engine to constantly operate at its optimal speed and efficiency; it also provides the flexibility to be used as a sequential transmission allowing the driver to select the gears manually via the ‘plus’ and ‘minus’ positions, providing additional control should the road conditions or payload require it.

A further benefit of the Hi-Matic is its ‘Eco’ and ‘Power’ mode functions. When ‘Eco’ is selected, the transmission changes gears at lower rpm to reduce fuel consumption, the engines peak torque is reduced, and the power curve is softened, while ‘Power’ mode holds the vehicle in each gear for longer and gives access to maximum torque and power for even crisper acceleration if required.
